Engraving Style
At G.K, we offer two different types of engraving options to create meaningful and personalized pieces that will last for a lifetime.
Hand Engraving
Hand engraving (Image above) has been around for centuries and it is the most traditional way of engraving. It is all done by hand and its imperfections create unique beauty.
Hand engraving is often etched deeper than other types of engraving and therefore, tends to last longer. In addition, variation of thickness within one letter or symbol is an advantage when having hand engraving done on your ring. It results in more interesting-looking letters and symbols. Therefore it creates a depth and interest when seen, that is unique and artistic in its handmade beauty.
Machine Engraving
Machine engraving (Image above) is done by a machine that uses a very thin diamond drill bit that etches into the metal. Typically the Machine engraving isn’t as deep as hand engraving but the letters are more neat and uniform than that of hand engraving.
Font Type
For the initial monogram, we offer two different fonts: Vine and Round. As you can see in the image above, Vine font gives a traditional and sophisticated look to the ring, whereas Round font creates modern minimalistic looks
