Craftsmanship

Goko Shokai, Goko’s headquarter, is located in Kofu city, Japan, where it has a rich history in jewelry making and is the most important jewelry producer in Japan. Our company was established in 1970 and since then we have been protecting the skills that have been passed down generation after generation.

Goko Shokai is located in the city of Kofu, which is the capital of the prefecture of Yamanashi. With a population of just under 190,000 and over 1000 jewelry-related companies (1 per every 190 residents!), the city is the largest jewelry production area in the country. The presence of plentiful rock crystals in the mountains north of the city has kept the city an established leader in jewelry production since the Edo Period. (1603 to 1868). Kofu is steeped in jewelry production history and tradition that carries on until today.

With such a rich history in jewelry craftsmanship, the products of Goko have been challenged, polished, protected, and passed down through the generations. Our extensive local supply chain, along with our profound understanding and knowledge of jewelry production has helped us become a guiding force in the jewelry industry.
